Mono-printing with Ellie Green

Join SAS founder Ellie Green on a voyage of discovery using a very simple print process - mono-printing - in a new and exciting way that will change the way you think about print and enable you to capture the stunning flora of the seasons! We’ll work with oil based inks to create stunning prints with photographic detail using the simplest of processes with incredible results. Check out our next mono-printing workshop here:


Learn to Lino Print with Ellie Green

Join experienced artist teacher and SAS founder Ellie Green for a comprehensive introduction to the Lino Printing process suitable for absolute beginners. You’ll learn how to carve the block in different ways to exploit both the negative and positive space on the plate before gaining a thorough introduction to working with artist quality oil based inks.

Screen-printed Textiles with Sarah Pimenta

If you want to learn about Screen-printing, the wonderful Sarah Pimenta aka Social Fabric is your girl. Sarah injects all her workshops with a dose of ‘conscious creativity’ encouraging you to use your surroundings and your inner world to create and print designs that are highly personal and joyfully colourful too. Sarah works with paper stencilling silkscreen techniques and runs a range of workshops with us for adults and young artists too!

 Printmaking Day Courses with Paul Wye

Looking to add further depth and dimension to your print practice? If the answer is yes then Paul Wye is your guy! Paul brings with him a wealth of wisdom and experience in Print and injects a whole load of experimental practice into his day-courses with us. If you have’t touched a print roller since school, Paul is here to school you in some super inventive print processes, from Photo Lithography, to Drypoint Etching, Lino Etching and much more.

Surrey Print Club!

Join our club of amateur print-makers for regular meet ups with a small group of learners with the chance to exhibit your work at Surrey Art School at the end of the cycle. For those of you interested in developing your practice over time, SPC is the club for you!


Whether you're a lover of lithography, lino, love to mono-print or you're an etcher at heart, this regular club is a chance to meet and make with like-minded creatives and to gain deeper understanding of print and clarity over your ideas as well as broadening your technical understanding of the medium.

Led by experimental artist-printmaker Paul Wye (MA Printmaking) you will commit to 6 sessions throughout the year that will give you time to gain vital verbal and practical feedback in your practice and to develop depth and dimension in the way you work with print.
