Session 1 / 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
Botanical Bundle Dying and Hapazome Printing Workshop
Bundle dying is playful and fun and involves getting creative with everyday ingredients from your home, fridge and garden or seasonal flowers. The items are then bundled and steamed with silk cloth (in this case a lovely silk scarf) to create beautiful naturally dyed fabric.
Whilst the bundles are dying you'll also create some hapazome prints. Hapazome is a fun method of direct printing with leaves and flowers. Using a rubber mallet the botanical dye is transferred to the cloth or paper.
By the end of the workshop you will have produced a stunning naturally dyed silk scarf and some pretty botanical prints.
Lunch break / 12:00 to 1:00 pm
Delicious vegetarian buffet lunch in our studio garden created by Katie using delicious recipes from her wellbeing cookbook *
