Join our club of amateur print-makers for regular meet ups with a small group of learners with the chance to exhibit your work at Surrey Art School at the end of the cycle.
Whether you're a lover of lithography, lino, love to mono-print or you're an etcher at heart, this regular club is a chance to meet and make with like-minded creatives and to gain deeper understanding of print and clarity over your ideas as well as broadening your technical understanding of the medium.
Led by experimental artist-printmaker Paul Wye (MA Printmaking) you will commit to 6 sessions throughout the year that will give you time to gain vital verbal and practical feedback in your practice and to develop depth and dimension in the way you work with print.
Each session lasts 3.5 hours and will be a combination of tutorials, group feedback and practical experimentation in order to build your confidence in your own creative journey and a better understanding of what makes you tick as a print-maker!
What’s the best way to kick off into a brand new year?
Start where you are and simply grow from there. The New year is such a fantastic opportunity to hit the reset button and focus your heart on what you most want or need in your future. We are the authors of our own epic story and we write the pages day by day.
Join us at the stunning Sussex Country Yurt for a day of mindfulness, creativity and yoga. We’ll use a mixture of meditation, yoga and mindful creative techniques to help you set your intentions for the year ahead and step into the new year feeling grounded, balanced and focused.
The day will kick off with a lovely, energising, all levels class led by the lovely Georgie (aka GLO YOGA). You’ll start with some gentle but strengthening vinyasa flow cycles, before bringing the focus inward with a series of balance poses. This will be followed by a super soothing FREE reflexology taster session led by the lovely Heather from Magnolia Tree therapies.
We’ll then settle down for a warming vegetarian buffet lunch - a change to sit, chat and share by the warmth of the woodburner.
The afternoon will start with a gentle mindful meditation led by Ellie (Surrey Art School ) to help you connect to your heart and tap into your subconscious wishes and dreams. You’ll create a vision board using creative visualisation techniques - giving you the chance to reflect what has passed and to invite in whatever you need for your future. At the end of this session we’ll create a personal mantra for you to keep in your heart for the year ahead.
We’ll end the day with some collective breath work and send you away with a huge hug and a lovely self-care goody bag!
