Weaving & Textiles

We believe that weaving, knitting and working with Textiles based practices can help you BREATHE. These hands on, analog processes give the mind a little break as it just does what its told for a minute and sits quietly. There’s a slow, calm and super meditative nature to letting your hands do the talking.

Basket Weaving with Emily Hall

We are delighted to be joined in the studio this Autumn by local ceramicist and basket weaver Emily Hall for a mindful and soulful Foragers Basket weaving workshop, using a mixture of bought, found and foraged seasonal materials to create a stunning hand-woven basket or coiled mat. She’ll also be offering cane basket weaving later in the season!

Experimental Print & Textiles with Paul Wye

Take a wander with us on a mindful journey through drawing, photography, print and textiles in this full day creative print and textiles course led by artist-teacher Paul Wye. This fun experimental day course includes sketchbook development tips, table weaving, chenilling, mono-printing onto paper and fabric and much more as we use a mindful walk and sketching to develop a narrative for sensory sketch-booking.

Knit yourself Calm with Sarah North

In this calm and mindful introduction to knitting for well-being, you’ll learn how to create a beautiful merino wool blanket, step by step, square by square. Knitting is an incredibly therapeutic activity and this 6 week course is an ever so gentle way for beginners to learn. Each square you’ll learn a new stitch and the more squares you make, the bigger your final blanket will be. Knit yourself calm with us this Autumn..

Tapestry Weaving with Susannah Bolton

We sleep, but the loom of life never stops, and the pattern which was weaving when the sun went down is weaving when it comes up in the morning - Henry Ward Beecher.

Susannah Bolton offers a comprehensive introduction to get you started with tapestry weaving - working with stunning hand-made notched lap looms and a phenomenal selection of vintage yarns. Get lost in the soothing motion of warp and weft..
