Creative Tuition with Ellie at the Surrey Art School Studio
SAS founder Ellie Green (MA Ed.) is an Artist-teacher with over a decade of experience teaching Art, Photography and Printmaking. As a Mixed Media Fine Artist, she is able to offer bespoke tuition across a range of topics and materials! Choose any nature-based topic and she’ll show you how to tackle it!
What’s on offer:
Pick a date and session length that works for you - choose from a ‘Creative spark’ session (75 minutes) or an ‘Deep Dive’ session (150 minutes). Bring a friend (maximum 4 additional attendees) for an extra supplement per head.
All materials, personalised beginner-kind tuition & refreshments are included
Pick a topic - When you book your session you’ll have the option to be more specific about the topic you’re interested in! If it’s nature-based, Ellie can teach it!
Pick your materials (You can choose from drawing, inks, printmaking or watercolour or let Ellie pick the materials for you and she’ll design a bespoke tutorial!
Examples of topics: Botanical Drawing, Botanical Painting, Wildlife Drawing & Painting, Trees in pencil, ink or watercolour, Chalk & Charcoal or pastel sketching, Printmaking - Mono-printing or Lino including use of our A3 Press, Creative guidance and direction.

Can’t find a date or session length that suits you? Contact us as we may be able to offer alternative dates / adapt session times for you!
Sessions available:
In Creative Spark sessions (75 minutes) you can choose one topic and Ellie will offer up some suggestions on one response to the topic.
For a Creative Spark Session you might choose something like:
A printing from Nature session, a session on how to paint bees, an introduction to watercolours, how to draw animals / nature (badgers, birds, flowers… ) a botanical painting taster…
In Deep Dive sessions (150 minutes) we’ll ‘flesh out’ your topic, using a range of approaches, before creating a response.
For a Deep Dive session you might choose something like:
A lino carving and printing session, Nature printing with a press, a deep dive into watercolours, botanical watercolours, drawing and painting nature / animals…
All sessions take place at Ellie’s Studio which is wheelchair accessible and has ample free parking: Ellie’s studio is located at: Surrey Art School, Dean House Farm, RH55DL.
Bring someone along!
You can add extra people to your booking up to 1 week before your session up to a maximum of 4 extra people. You’ll be responsible for organising this and letting them know the date and details of the session
