Summer Collection
Summer is the season when all our seeds come to bloom, where plans made in Winter and Spring come to fruition. Our gardens burst into bloom and we feel the call of the wild - journeying within and getting out and about - taking the scenic route and soaking up the warm sun on our skin. Summer is a time to travel light and to celebrate the returning light.
Tread lightly this summer
We are travelling light for our summer season and only bringing with us a small kit of materials our with in ‘on tour’ to help us record directly from our surroundings.
None of us need to be carrying heavy bags or complex kit on these adventures and so we’ve put together a small collection of materials that we know will be most useful to you when you’re ‘on the move’.
Our Water brush pens are a great way to make sure you have access to water for painting ‘on the go’ and will come in super handy this summer. Make sure you have a travel set of watercolour paints too as we will be sketching and painting ‘en plein air’.

A drop of colour
Add a dash of colour to your drawings when you’re out on tour with our light, portable summer palettes and delicious Daniel Smith Dot cards - allowing you to carry a ‘pocket sized’ collection of colours with you, wherever your journey might take you this summer!
Tools for drawing ‘on tour’
Again when you’re on the move, less is more. We have some new and utterly delightful fine liners in the shop this summer available in light grey, dark grey and sepia. Ideal for simple, loose line work and water-resistant, so you can add a dash of watercolour to your drawings without your whole drawing dissolving. Our new Cretacolour pastel pencils also have a light ‘wax resist’ for exactly the same reasons. And finally we’ve added a couple of cool new colours to our Pentel Brush Pen range - these guys are water soluble and so can be ‘loosened up’ with a few drops of water!

Paper & Surfaces
Those of you lucky enough to receive our Summer Subscription Box will have received a lovely little A5 Soft cover sketchbook to begin journalling your summer season with us.
