Regular Clubs and Classes
Our doors are wide open to learners of all abilities and we offer as many opportunities as possible for you to join us in the studio for a little you-time. The majority of our classes are aimed at adults but we do offer specialised support for young artists and family workshops during school holidays.

Surrey Print Club
Develop your print practice over time
As members of Surrey Hills AONB and passionate lovers of the local flora and fauna - our workshop menu is beautifully attuned to the seasons - with some only coming round once a year and some here as a staple including Modern calligraphy workshops running all year through! Our workshops are fun-filled sessions to enjoy with friends - you'll come away with the thrill of a new skill and something beautiful in your hands.
Mindful Pinch pots, Stoneware tiles and Coil Pot workshops for beginners led by our ceramics specialist Jo Hannah.
Build on existing skills and broaden your understanding of flourishing working with different nibs and new strokes.
Get into print with our introductory printmaking workshops led by passionate print-maker Ellie Green.
Learn to paint on water with our fantastic introduction to the ancient Art of Ebru Marbelling led by Ebru Kocak.
Surrey Print Club
A regular club for print-makers to meet, critically evaluate work and develop practice over time led by Paul Wye.
Weaving for Wellbeing
Beginners workshops exploring weft, warp and enjoy the wonderful feeling of well-being associated to weaving practice

Yoga and Art Retreat - New Beginnings

Our Masterclasses are an in depth opportunity to explore local artists personal practice. You'll learn their tricks of the trade - including how to recreate their Masterpieces - adding your own personal spin to proceedings with expert tuition and guidance from those who knows it cos they grows it!
Bee Painting with Jane Davies Watercolours
Jane Davies is a Watercolour artist who works with wet-on-wet Watercolour technique. Her work, inspired by the natural beauty of Surrey inspires this step by step bee painting Masterclass. She'll show you all you need to go to find your flow with Watercolours and to create a delicate study to take away on the day!
Botanical Casting with Abilu Creations
Abilu is an experienced artist-teacher who runs her own local contemporary business designing and making her own jewelry and crafting stunning botanical casts working with clay and fine casting plaster. In her Masterclass you will create a stunning relief wall hanging to take away on the day and adorn your home!
Cyanotype with SAS founder Ellie Green
Ellie Green (MA Ed.) not only runs the good ship Surrey Art School but is a passionate print-maker and Photographer. Her Masterclass will teach you all you need to know to create stunning sun-prints working with an age old camera-less Photographic technique. You'll take away multiple prints and lots of ideas!
Full day Courses
Most of our workshops or Masterclasses offer a gentle introduction, a starting point for beginning your journey. Our full day courses offer depth and breadth to your practice - over a full day you'll have the chance to experiment, make mistakes and play - digging a little deeper and building confidence with expert tuition from friendly experienced tutors
Courses with Paul Wye
Paul Wye (MA Printmaking) is an expert Print-maker who specialises in unusual and highly innovative print practices - from drypoint etching, to kitchen lithography and this season - Photo-lithography If you've never heard of this process, its all the more reason to give it a try and if you want to learn, Wye is your guy!
Weaving for Well-being
Artist -teacher Susannah Bolton joins out creative team for the Autumn season and bring with her a passion for textiles - beginning her journey with us with some beginners weaving, creative stitch and darning workshops and leading into a full day weaving course coming very soon!
